Hey Readers! Welcome back to Life, Faith &Love. This week I want to share a bit of my testimony, specifically on how I overcame fear. Fear was something I dealt with from the time I was 10 till about age 20. I dealt with different types of fear. From age 10 to 15 I was afraid of going upstairs to the kitchen by myself when everyone was downstairs to get food or something to drink. Around that age I was also afraid to sleep in the dark in my room by myself. These might appear to be normal things children fear of, but if left undealt, what presents itself as innocent can spread into a malignant and dangerous growth.  As I got older, I did outgrow my fear of the dark or being a lone, but that fear transferred into fear of failure. I was afraid to fail in anything I did. Especially when I got to college. I went to college with the desire to be a pharmacist, but I was so afraid of failure. My very first exam I took was in general chemistry and I got a 76 out of 100. I was so discour...

I got the privilege of communicating with this great young man. His testimony/story is powerful and I am honored to share it with you all. His name is Kwon and in the past year, JayKwon has been through so much, but God has given him the grace to overcome and conquer life obstacles.  This is JayKwon's Story:          On Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at 1:30 P.M, JayKwon Hosey, 25, was involved in a nine-vehicle car accident on I-75 South, including two semi-trucks. As a result, there were two individuals that passed away, one being Jaykwon's girlfriend, Jhanae. This accident left Jaykwon severely injured. He has suffered a broken pelvis, lost his ability to walk and damage to his urethra, back, and to his foot. Jaykwon has undergone multiple surgeries. “The physical damage has shift...

  I once listened to a young man speak about his fears. He was in the middle of starting his own business and he was afraid to fail. He had to take out a cumulative loan of $40 million dollars to begin his business. If I was him, I would have been scared out of my mind also. $40 million dollars is a lot of money. Before he signed the documents for the loans he was confused, afraid to fail and feared disappointing his friends and family. The young man explained how he overcame his fears and I found it very powerful. To summarize his statement, "I decided to think about the fears in my mind, rather than suppress or ignore them. I took a pen and paper and I wrote down all of my "What Ifs." What If I take this loan and my business fails? What if no one wants to work for me? What if my MBA degree didn't equip me for this company. By the time I ended I had at least 12 "What Ifs." After writing all my fears down, I then proceeded to answer all my questions. One by...

  Have you ever walked through a tough season in life that challenged your peace? Trust, going through life without peace of mind is exhausting, you will crash eventually. I've walked through seasons in my life where my peace was shaken. I've dealt with relationships that challenged my peace and I had to decide to guard my peace at all cost. First, I had to go to my source of Peace which is from God. He refills my cup of peace, then I had to set healthy boundaries within relationships to maintain my peace. Today, I just wanted to provide a couple scriptures if you are struggling with having Peace right now. Meditate on these scriptures and speak them over your life daily. You will see a major difference. 1 -John 16:33, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." 2 -Psalm 4:8, "In Peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in s...

The Tigray people in Ethiopia report an increase in discrimination and abuse from authorities. Nearly 50,000 Tigrayans have fled Ethiopia, in what the United Nation calls as the worst exodus of refugees Ethiopia has seen in more than two decades. Many ethnic Tigrayans who live in the capital and other parts of Ethiopia say they have been treated like criminal suspects and subjected to various forms of discrimination, harassment and abuse by government officials.   Hey Readers, Welcome back to Life, Faith &Love, where I share peoples stories. This week I am focusing on stories from the country of Congo. Congo is a very rich in resources in the land. Mining is a very common profession there because the soil is rich with cobalt (what we use in phones, laptops etc.,) and many other vital minerals. + Hey T-Gang, Welcome to week 2 of "What I Wish I Knew Before I Got Married".  Episode 2 is going to be in two parts, because I didn't want the content to be too long! I got the lovely opportunity to interview Mrs. Augusta Sternberg. I did a virtual interview with her due to Uncle Rona! But here's a little info on Augusta. She is a 27 year old wife, retired veteran, and a stay at home mom. She stated that her life went from one extreme to another extreme. Regardless of it all, she's happy to be alive.
