Hey Readers, Welcome back to Life, Faith &Love where I share YOUR stories. They shared a lot of wisdom from their personnel marriage stories. Make sure you go check it out if you missed. I'm now starting a new series titled Covid stories where I share YOUR stories from during this pandemic. If you want to share your stories with me feel free to email me @ Ngongang94@gmail.com. We're going to start this new series with a lovely woman name Dr. Christy Russell! She has a lot of wisdom to share:  Before I share Dr. Christy story I wanted to let my readers know that I am doing a give away in the month August and September. With everything that's been going on in the world, I feel led to give back to others. In the month of August and September I will be giving away a little somethi...

Stepping Out of the 9 to 5 Work System Mindset

Image
Hey Readers, This is a random Monday post, but I feel led to write and share. I'm currently being stretched in this area and I believe someone else maybe able to relate or is going through the same thing.  In my personal opinion, I believe the education system in the US builds its' students to be life long employees versus employers. We are built to go to school, study for years, graduate and then work under a corporate system for the rest of our lives. There is nothing wrong with a 9 to 5. They are great at providing stability in a home. You can pay bills, provide shelter and food for yourself and your family. Working under a corporate or a 9 to 5 is not a bad thing, actually it's critical for survival, but there is something powerful in having multiple streams of income or even OWNING your own company/platform.  True financial liberation stems from multiple streams of income or even owning your own business. I am currently working on expanding my mindse...

Last Episode: What I Wish I Knew Before I Got Married --From a man's view

Hello Readers, My sincere apologies for the delayed wrap up on this blog series. Sincerely I have no justifiable reason for not posting this blog much earlier. Although I do enjoy blogging and making videos, my consistency with my content making honestly sucks (I'm real with myself).  Nonetheless, I wanted to still finish off this series because it was beneficial to me. I had the privilege to interview an amazing speaker name Jonathan Jones. It was refreshing hearing a man's perspective on tools to use to equip yourself for marriage. Jonathan regularly speaks at speaking engagements, has a podcast and also him and his wife have an instagram account together. To sign up for a speaking engagement and to check out his Beyond the Ball podcast at: linktr.ee/jonathanjonesspeaks. Him and his wife instagram is @TogetherWeJones Here is Jonathan's Wisdom:                                 ...

Episode 3, Part 1: "What I wish I knew Before I Got Married"

Hey Readers, Welcome back to Life, Faith &Love! This week I got the opportunity to interview a lovely woman named Simi. She has been married to her husband for 5 years now, (August will make it 6 years actually) and they have two little girls together. Simi spent majority of her life in the USA, but her husband majority of his in Nigeria. Although Simi had a lot of traditional Nigerian views, she still had more modern views than her husband and they had to figure out a way to meet half way. This is Simi's Story: "Before I got married, I was excited about having kids. I told my husband when we were dating, that as soon as we get married, I want kids right away. He's a bit more practical than I am and encouraged us to be financially ready first, but it all worked out. We've been married for 5 years now and with two little girls. I love being a mom, especially at a younger age, having them at an age I can keep up with them has been good. I thought I wa...

+ Hey T-Gang, Welcome to week 2 of "What I Wish I Knew Before I Got Married".  Episode 2 is going to be in two parts, because I didn't want the content to be too long! I got the lovely opportunity to interview Mrs. Augusta Sternberg. I did a virtual interview with her due to Uncle Rona! But here's a little info on Augusta. She is a 27 year old wife, retired veteran, and a stay at home mom. She stated that her life went from one extreme to another extreme. Regardless of it all, she's happy to be alive. Point 1: Do NOT IDOLIZE Marriage Augusta shared how at a young age she kind of knew how her husband was going to look like. She had her word from God. The bad thing is that she idolized that word and started to idolize marriage. She believes God gave her that word to guide her and to help her not settle for what wasn't His will for her life, but she started idolizing marriage instead. That is point number 1 I can give y'all, do NOT idolize marriage. ...
