Image
Losing weight can be very difficult. In a perfect world, everyone would be able to eat whatever they wanted, sit over a flame of fire and burn the calories. All the fat from that cheese burger, Chinese food, Mexican food, cup cakes and french fries would simply burn on the fire. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world. You are what you eat. Too much junk food will accentuate those love handles and muffin top tummy.           Now and days people want things fast. We tend to be inpatient and search for quick routes to our end destination. Many people search for the perfect pill that will shed off all their unwanted weight. Weight loss pills such as Slimera (Garcinia Cambogia) are effective for some, but not all. If you are searching for ways to lose stubborn belly fat or weight in other locations in the body, here are 7 easy steps:       ...

"Facing the Giants: Overcoming the Fears of Life."

Image
"FEAR: an unpleasant emotion, caused by belief that something or someone is dangerous, likely to cause pain or threat." Whether if it's fear of failure, death, spiders, water or being in crowded places, everyone has something they are afraid of. Many of us have visions and goals that we want to accomplish, but the fear of failure or disappointment keeps us stagnant. Before you proceed reading this blog, I encourage you to think or write down your fears. What are you afraid of? What makes your stomach drop?             I once listened to a young man speak about his fears. He was in the middle of starting his own business and he was afraid to fail. He had to take out a cumulative loan of $40 million dollars to begin his business. If I was him, I would have been scared out of my mind also. $40 million dollars is a lot of money. Before he signed the documents for the loans he was confused, afraid to fai...

"She's Not The Problem, It's Him"

If you haven't watched the video inserted above yet, I encourage you to watch it now. The video sets the tone for this blog post. Everyone is familiar with the popular movie titled "Mean Girls." Actress Lindsey Lohan plays the character Cady Heron, a 16 year old girl new to the public school district. Cady moved from Africa to America with her parents and attended public school for the first time. She quickly learns the cliques in public schools and similar to the video above, Cady finds herself in a girl fight over a young man. We can smile and giggle over children fighting over a boy or teenage girls fighting over a boy, but sadly as adults/young adults we still see females fighting each other over a man and males fighting eachother over women. I have one statement to this type of fighting, "If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay, remember that."       ...

"No Man is An Island"

"No man is an island, we can be found. No man is an island let your guard down. You don't have to fight me, I am for you. We're not meant to live this life alone." From the time we exit the wombs of our mothers and enter planet earth we are dependent on people to sustain our lives. Babies are born with a need to be nurtured, cared for, and protected. People tend to forget, but even as adults we still need nurturing, caring, and protection from those around us. A study was done on adolescents that were abandoned by one or both parents at a young age. Studies showed that these children grew up with more insecurities, struggled with depression, and were more afraid to let people into their lives compared to those not abandoned. We need people/family/love to make it through this thing called life. No man is an island.            We will all encounter a heartbreak, disappointment or a b...

Your Purpose Lies Where Your Passions Begin.

Are you currently in a place in life where you feel stagnated? Not moving forward, nor backwards, just stuck. Are you feeling almost purposeless? An average human being lives 25,915 days. That is approximately 71 years, 621,960 hours, 37,317,600 minutes, or approximately 2,239,056,000 seconds. In my opinion, that is a good amount of time to be on this earth. So I ask you, what are YOU going to do with your time? In the book, The Purpose Driven Life, author Rick Warren states,  “Time is your most precious gift because you only have a set amount of it. You can make more money, but you can't make more time. When you give someone your time, you are giving them a portion of your life that you'll never get back. Your time is your life."  There was a point in my life when I was unsure of my purpose. I was 17 years old and as a youth, I was aware that I still had a lot of time left on this earth. I was anxious to leave for college in a few months, anxious for freedom, but al...
